Palak and Anjeer Kofta curry /.Spinach and Fig Kofta Curry

A yummy treat to your taste buds!!!!Delectable and flavorful recipe which is tasteful and can be enjoyed with roti's as well as with rice!!!! Enjoy!!!
Ingredients:For Kofta:Palak -7 to 8
1/2 cup paneer
1/2 tsp red chilly powder
1/4 tsp jeera powder
3 tsp cornflour
Salt
Filling for Kofta:Chopped Anjeer( Fig) 1/2 cup
Chopped Ginger
Chopped green chillies
2 tsp paneer crumbled
Chopped coriander leaves.
For gravy:1 tsp Ginger-garlic paste
1/2 cup onion paste
1/2 cup tomato puree
1/4 cup kaju or cashew nut paste
1/2 tsp Haldi or turmeric powder
1/2 tsp Garam masala powder
Salt as required
1 tsp cream
Butter/Oil- 2/3 tsp
Anjeer or Fig should be soaked in water overnight and then should be chopped for Kofta filling
Brown Onion paste:Fry sliced onions(5-6 medium sized onions) in 2-3 tsp of oil.Fry till it turns into brown and make a fine paste.
Method:Take a plate,firstly make small balls of palak mixture.Then flatten and roll them into small sized roti's,then fill the anjeer mixture and close the palak mixture over it and prepare a round ball or Kofta Repeat the same with the remaining mixture and arrange them in the plate.Take a kadai ,add enough oil for frying the koftas,fry them till golden brown and keep them aside.
For gravy:Take a deep kadai, add 2 tsp ghee or butter,then add ginger-garlic paste,then add brown onion paste,add kaju paste,cook them well,then add the dry masala's - turmeric powder,garam masala powder,mix well and then add salt as required and allow them to cook well till ghee starts leaving the kadai from the sides,to this add 1/2 cup tomato puree and mix well and cook till the rawness of tomato puree disappears and then add little water and cover a lid and cook for 5 mints. then at last add 1 tsp cream and add the above done kofta's in the gravy.Garnish with coriander leaves and 1/2 tsp cream.That's it, a delicious and yummy treat is ready to enjoy !!!
