Chegodillu/rice flour rings

These rings make an excellent tea time snack.


Number of serving: 5
1 cup Riceflour

3 tsps Moong Dal

1 tsp Cumin Seeds

1 1/2 tsp Chilly Powder

Salt to taste

Oil (for deep frying)

2 tsp Ghee (Optional)


  • Soak moong dal in water for 15min.
  • Take a pan with water, add chilly powder, cumin seeds, salt and ghee. Let it come to the boiling point.
  • Using ladle, without forming lumps mix the rice flour in the water. Keep it aside for 10- 15 minutes.
  • Apply oil to the surface and your hand, take a small size dough and roll it into a and make it into the ring shape.
  • Heat oil in a heavy bottom pan, fry the rings at the high flame for 3 sec and then reduce the flame. Leave it until it turns brown in color

Should be mixed with the dough after u drain the the water and make rings
