*Oriental Steak Sandwich
This delicious meal was a leftover re-vamp, the steak and orange chili sauce being used from my oriental fajita's. After living in Philadelphia for a number of years I occasionally get these insatiable cravings for cheese steaks. I'd have to admit I probably gained 20 pounds during my first pregnancy all because of Ishkabibbles and Jim's. This is by no means a cheese steak of course but it did help with my hankering for a Philly style sandwich. I toasted some rolls and combined the orange chili sauce with mayo, tossed it together with some cheese and voila! Oriental steak sandwich. Any left over fajita meats would make an equally delicious sandwich, for me the main kicker was the sauce (of course). Creamy and spicy mayonnaise mixed with spice took this sandwich from good to really good. Oriental Steak Sandwich: 2 hoagie rolls 1 cup mexican cheese blend Sauce (recipe follows) **2-3 cups leftover fajita meat with peppers and onions, or 1 batch of oriental fajita meat will make about 4 sandwiches. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Split rolls open and toast for 3-4 minutes or until somewhat browned and crisp. Meanwhile gently reheat your steak and pepper mixture. I microwaved mine on 50% power. You don't want to overcook the meat and make it leathery. Once the rolls have toasted place sauce on both sides of the roll, cover with meat mixture, then more sauce, then cheese. Broil or bake to melt the cheese. Sauce: 3-4 tablespoons mayonnaise 2 tablespoons orange chili sauce salt and pepper Stir to combine
