11th Mediterranean Cooking Event ? Egypt

We are back to the Arabic world and the coast of north Africa.Egypt is our destination, a country with a very long history of cooking. Recipes were found here dating back 5000 years. Amongst then the oldest recipe for Mayonnaise which consists of olive oil and egg yolk. Also brewing beer has a very long tradition here.

Dates, figs, grapes, quince but aslo cucumber is used a lot in the Egyptian cuisine. You can also find a lot of lamb. I am curious what you will find!

The 11th Mediterranean Cooking Event has started and the topic is:

Start date is the 10th of August 2010.

End date is the 10th of September 2010.

Who can participate?

Everyone that blogs and loves food.
