2 Minute Hot Fudge Sauce

Holy Awesome Monday to you!  Well I have been dying to get back in blogging action to tell you all about U2.  Remember last week when I told you that I was heading to Toronto to catch Bono and crew live?  Well lets just say it was amazing.  The atmosphere was absolutely incredible.  I have been to a few concerts in my day but nothing like this.  We had a great time.  I posted some pictures at the bottom of the post that you can check out.

On to the Food


Ever crave hot fudge sauce but you don’t have any on hand?  Maybe for a kicked up ice cream after dinner or a specialty dip for those strawberries in the fridge.  Well I think I might be able to help you out.  Try this on for size – The 2 Minute Hot Fudge Sauce.  Sounds too good to be true but it really works.  I was lucky enough to stumble by this recipe in my Everyday Food subscription from Martha Stewart Living.  This is genus.


It is very simple to make.  I swapped Milk Chocolate for semi sweet because that is all I had on hand.


Ingredients

1/3 Cup Light Corn Syrup
1 Cup Heavy Cream
8 Ounces Semi Sweet Chocolate

Method

In a medium microwaveable safe bowl/measuring cup combine light syrup and heavy cream.
Microwave on high for 4 minutes; stirring halfway through.
Stir in chocolate – let stand two minutes.
Whisk until smooth
Serve warm.
ENJOY!!

Zesty Tip: When dealing with chocolate, I find that you get what you pay for.  Try to find some good quality chocolate for this treat.  Dark chocolate would also work great.
