Asha's Restaurant - Food

By B&D? Kuwait | The Food Blog (Visit website)

For My birthday i decided to take my family and B to Asha's mostly because my dad enjoys Indian Cuisine :) & its been quite sometime now that we had gone out to dinner...

My family and B so total of 5 was going to dine in ...we were seated and the menu's were given to us immediately...They have a wide selection of traditional dishes in their menu & very beautifully designed.

After quite a long discussion and pondering about what to order we decided to start off with the appetisers...

This is Clasic Samosa Selection : they had two selection of samosa's one was stuffed with potatoes, green peas and dried fruits and the other 2 was curried lamb with green peas. served with green chutney. The only problem with this was it wasnt spciy enough for our taste...

Sunhere Jinga: Shrimps fried in a batter served with tamarind sauce and garnished with mint leaves. It was good but i preferred it without the tamarind sauce.

They served us all so i couldnt click a picture of each of the dish but here's whats on our plate :)

Speciality Kebab platter : which as a selection of four delicious kebabs..that included mug malai kebab,Tandoori kebab, Ghost Seekh kebab & Murg Lassoni Kebab.
Palak Paneer: Diced Cottage cheese in a thick spanish gravy.
Kesar Biryani: Lamb biryani with a very rich saffron flavor(recommend by our host Shobith)
Assorted Naan : 2 baskets that included garlic and butter naan.

each was accompanied with Raita...

The Main Course was delicious....the best out of all was the kesar Birayni...it was so rich and the lamb was so tender and easy to eat..usually i am more of a chicken person and i wouldnt have decided for lamb but this was sooo worth it...

All the kebab's were tasty except the minced lamb kebab...i couldnt eat much of it maybe coz personally i dont enjoy much of red meat...

The naan's were tasty and i didnt taste the Palak paneer coz it was really tooo green for my sister and me ..it was spinach gravy so no thanks...but B ,My dad and mom liked it....
The main course was satifying and filling...

we also noted that when you dip your naan in the Raita its tastes real nice.. ;)
Dessert

This is Gajar Ka Halwa which is grated carrots with reduction of milk.

My sister and i decided to orderd this and share it..It looks great but didnt taste like gajar ka halwa at all...we couldnt eat it ...it was bad...

Sorry guys no offense!!

Overall the food was good not bad, the service & the staff was excellect ...
My Favourite among all would be the Kersar Biryani, it was really delicious!!
