Bags of Treasures

By Wholesome Vegetarian Cooking (Visit website)

I bought a packet of aburage (Japanese fried beancurd) from the supermarket recently to make stuffed beancurd. Compare to common fried beancurd, aburage is rectangular and bigger is size per piece, which the Japanese usually stuffed it with sushi rice. I used it to stuff my diced vegetables, just another fun way to eat my vegetables. The mixed vegetables of baby corn, carrots, green peas, peanuts and cabbage are seasoned and cooked prior to stuffing into the half cut aburage. Steaming for 10 mins before serving enable the aburage to absorb the juice from the sauce and softer to the bite. I actually made 7 pieces, but only remember to take a photo snap after eaten 2 pieces. ; p
