Braised Green Kale
Recipe (serves 3-4) 1 lb bag of green kale, stemmed and chopped 3 cups chicken broth 1/2 large onion sliced 2 garlic cloves minced 1 tsp apple cider vinegar 1 tbsp vegetable oil Salt to taste In a large pot brown onion and garlic with the vegetable oil. Add green kale to the pot. (note: If all the kale doesn't fit in the pot at once add a handfull at a time, it will wilt alot). Add chicken stock to the pot. Cook at medium high for 10-15 minutes. Add apple cider vinegar and add salt to taste.
I really love this recipe. Quick, healthy, and really good. Look a the color so ridiculously green. Ideally I'd serve this with some maple syrup cheddar polenta or sweet potato mash and barbecue beef short ribs. Damn that sounds good! Also their is definitely some room for creativity. Use beef stock or turkey stock, use fennel or apples, posibilities are endless. Make it! Eat it! Enjoy! related searches : Braised
