Chasing the food demons with a contest

By Diva Weigh (Visit website)

This is week one with the Double Dub Club.

I've been down this road before.  Things are a bit different but a lot the same.

You've got to eat sensibly, and you've got to watch portion sizes.

I'm pretty good with the first part and pretty bad with the second part.

This week started off with the disposing/donating/passing out/giving away of all the holiday treats that have been all over my counter and in my frig for the last couple of months weeks of the year.  Done.  Now on to better choices!

wrongo!

My DS's girlfriend likes to bake.  And she's good at it.  And she likes to bake and give-away.  She's a tri-athlete and part of the team at college.  (she's seriously fit and toned! I hate her)  The day after I had disposed of all contra-band, I woke up to a  frig full of mini-cheesecakes and a counter full of banana bread.

WTH?

I allowed the contra-band to remain in the house for 2 days.  Then the bottom fell out.

I was a little hungry just before bedtime one night.  The Dub Club allows you to eat what you want but stay within a certain amount of points, portion control, yadayadayada.

A half piece of banana bread would be ok.

Or so I thought.

A half piece turned into a full piece, then another, then, yes, another.  3 pieces.  And these were not small pieces and these were not low-fat/calorie pieces.

WTF?

Why did I just throw a completely good day out the window?  For banana bread?

I was miserable all night.  Too full.  I can't sleep when I'm that full.

The next morning, before DS awoke, all the newly aquired contra-band went in the trash.  Wasting food is bad.  This was the act of a desparate woman.  I could not have them in my air space.

And it was trash day so there would be no recourse.  The evidence was gone.

Some things are hard, some days are hard.  It was one day.  I'm through it.  I'm in a new day.

So how about something fun!  yes?

The folks over at Progresso are having a contest.  It's called Souper You Debut and you could win a make-over which includes trip for 2 to NYC, full makeover, $1000 wardrobe shopping spree and personal consultant at a NYC department store.

Go to www.Progresso.com/SouperYou to learn more and enter the contest

There's also a $1 off coupon over there for any 3 varieties of Progresso Soup!

Progresso has sent me some soups to sample so stay tuned for that!

And I may or may not have some prizes soon!

I'm just sayin'
