Chef Academy ? It?s All About the Sauce

Has anyone else out there been watching Chef Academy on Bravo? Well, the show does not disappoint. There is plenty of drama – what else would anyone expect from Bravo?- but there is also plenty of delicious cooking. Chef Novelli shared a recipe last week for his Grandma Louise’s tomato sauce and I decided that it was definitely worth trying. Check out the video.


I decided it would be fun to add some caramelized onions to the sauce and so I created those, then folded them into the mix. The sauce turned out a bit sweet, and I did add some vinegar to balance it, but I think the caramelized onions won out!
