Easy Candy Recipe? Peanut Butter Yummies
I went four days without a computer. And I actually survived. I know, it’s nothing short of a miracle. I didn’t actually plan it that way. We had a reunion over the weekend, so I knew I’d be without internet for two days. Thursday I planned on posting a recipe, and scheduling a post for while I was gone. But my computer had other ideas and refused to work with me. Dang computer. I am back now, and life is looking a little less hectic for the rest of the month. Hallelujah! When I was looking through my archives, I was surprised that I hadn’t posted this easy candy recipe yet. It is one I got in a home ec class back in middle school. It is really easy to throw together, and it’s perfect for summer because you don’t have to turn on the oven. So if your kids are begging for a treat this summer, try these out. Or even better, have the kids make them! Peanut Butter Yummies 1 cup corn syrup 1 cup powdered sugar 1 cup peanut butter (I like chunky) 1 tsp vanilla 4 cups Rice Crispies Stir together corn syrup and sugar in a large saucepan. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Remove from heat and add peanut butter and vanilla. Stir till smooth. Stir in cereal. Drop by spoonfuls on waxed paper. If desired, cool slightly and roll into balls. Notes: related searches : Easy
