Roll out one puff pastry sheet and place it in the bottom of the pie pan. Prick it with a fork, then spread tomato sauce on the bottom.
Sauté the onion in a pan, then add the ground beef and cook it.
Transfer the mixture to a bowl, season with salt and pepper, and add the mustard. Mix well, then add the pickles cut into small pieces.
Pour this mixture into the pie pan, and smooth the top. Place the cheddar slices on top to cover the meat.
Fold the edges of the puff pastry over the filling, then cover with the second puff pastry sheet. Tuck the edges under the first pastry to form a pie.
Brush with egg yolk, then sprinkle with sesame seeds. Bake for 30 minutes at 390°F (200°C).
And there you have it, your cheeseburger pie is ready!
Observations
Stuffing: It can be adapted to everyone's tastes (add raw onions, bacon, no pickles, etc.)
Tomato sauce: It can be replaced with ketchup, but this may add a lot of sugar to the recipe.
