Fathers Day Barbecue
These ribs are something that were made for Fathers Day. I wanted a meal that was a mans meal ...hearty and meaty so what better solution than ribs? These ribs were rubbed with a dry seasoning and then slow smoked for 4 hours on my charcoal grill, for the final hour glazed so lovingly with home made peach barbecue sauce. Although I like mine on the gooey and tender side Stephen insists that the bark is where its at! In addition to these ribs I served cole slaw, Amish macaroni salad, corn on the cob and my absolute favorite summer delight... barbecued chicken. Perfectly grilled thighs still juicy and moist glazed with the same sauce, with the skin crisped to perfection. Although I do make barbecued chicken and ribs now and again during non summer months theres something about the smell of smoke in my hair and dry rub under my nails that I just adore. You know its officially summer when you can peek in on a nice rack of ribs the perfect subtle pinkness and a nice char, definitely something thats unrivaled by oven barbecued anything. related searches : Fathers Day
