Frosty Laughs and Plays in Atlanta!

By Mele Cotte (Visit website)

gran divertimento/great fun!
Frosty the Snowman
Was a jolly happy soul
With a corncob pipe and a button nose
And two eyes made out of coal...

Merry Christmas Eve, everyone! Before the Big Guy swings by, I thought I would invite Frosty over for a glass of eggnog. You see, I love snowmen. I won't to say I am a collector, because I don't want a whole house of snowy balls (okay....that just sounded bad). But, I like that I can keep snowman decor up all winter and don't have to rush to take it down. When the thought of snowmen pops ?popped? in my head, I went over to Bakerella. By now, we all know Bakerella and her awesome pops, among all the other fabulousness. I didn't remember seeing pops like these here on the blog, but wanted to double check.

So, I attempted these little guys waited to see what happened.
The end result was awesome! They turned out really cute!

Frosty Pops
inspired by Bakerella
1 box yellow cake mix (cook as directed on box)
1 can vanilla frosting (16 oz.)
12 oz. white chocolate bark
1 cup semi sweet chocolate, melted
Fruit Roll Ups
Mini-marshmallows
styrofoam form

After cake is cooked and cooled completely, crumble into large bowl. Mix thoroughly with 1/2 can frosting. (It may be easier to use fingers to mix together, but be warned it will get messy. Use more icing if it mix does not come together.) Roll mixture into quarter , nickle, and dime (ish) size balls and lay on cookie sheet in sets of 3 and in descending size order. (Should make 45-50.) Place on a cookie stick, large first, then medium, and small. Chill for several hours. (You can speed this up by putting in the freezer.)Temper the white chocolate and melt completely. Roll snowmen in chocolate, carefully tap off extra and stick the pops into the form and let stay until firm.

Decorate as preferred. I used the roll ups for the scarves and nose. I used the chocolate and the marshmallow for the hat and coal.

A Chorus Line! :)
