At the Food Opera (same management as The Food Republic), featured a collection of Singapore famous hawker stalls. We tried the Mushroom Turnip Dumpling from Mei Zhen Hakka Delight. Basically is the same as soon kueh but the hakka version. The difference is yam added into skin and the skin was more chewy than the usual soon kueh.

Mushroom Turnip Dumpling - 2 for S$3.00

This was very yummy and the filling was flavourful too. The chilli was good too, definitely a must try. They have other hakka delicacies like Abacus Yam Ball, Yam Porridge, Glutinous Rice, Yam Cake & Chee Cheong Fun.
