Keerai Poriyal
Ingredients: Keerai - 1 bunch (any type) (washed and chopped) Green chillies - 2 nos (chopped) Shallots - 5-6 nos (peeled) Tomato - 1 no (chopped) Cumin seeds - 1 tsp Mustard seeds - 1/4 tsp Garlic - 3 cloves (peeled) Pepper powder - 1/2 tsp Salt to taste Method: 1) Heat oil in pan, add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, garlic. After spluttering add shallots, green chillies and saute till it becomes soft. 2) Now add tomatoes and saute for 5 minutes. Add the chopped keerai, sprinkle some water, simmer and close the lid. 3) Add salt and mix well, saute at regular intervals till the vegetable appears fully cooked.
