Kueh Ketayap/ Dadar
We were expecting a group of visitors from the church for Christmas caroling tonight. They were so kind to visit one house to another bringing Christmas joy and spirit to all our homes. The little ones were all so curious as the carolers were wearing all red complete with their Christmas hats and my daughter told me that these kind people are Santa's helpers. I actually think so too ; )
These kueh were made as a part of the light refreshment that was prepared for the carolers. It is not very hard to prepare but can be quite time consuming as you will need to fill, roll and wrap them up individually. But, it can be real fun if you prepare it with your friends or family like I did as you get to chat away and catch up while rolling these babies up. Before we knew it, it was all done. Some people call it Kueh Ketayap, Kueh Lenggang, or Kueh Dadar. Well, whatever name you call it, I just think its delicious and perfect for tea time or as snacks at any time of the day. The filling is mainly grated coconut and gula melaka (palm sugar). related searches : Kueh
