Ingredients:
4 medium size Indian Mackerel/Mabong - de-gut and cleaned
1 tbsp rice flour
1/2 tbsp turmeric/kunyit powder
salt to taste
Marinate the fish with all these ingredients, deep fry and keep aside.
Other Ingredients
1 (abt 100g) onion - sliced thinly
4 cloves garlic - sliced thinly
1 (abt 90g) tomato - chopped
4 red & 2 green chillies - remove seeds and sliced
5 birds eye chillies (optional) - sliced
1 1/2 tbsp tauchu
2 stalks spring onions - sliced into 1 1/2 inch length
1 tbsp black vinegar (or white vinegar)
1/2 tbsp brown sugar
3 tbsp olive oil
4 tbsp water
salt to taste (use sparingly)

Preparation:
When oil is heated, saute the onions for 3-4 mins. Add in the sliced chillies and tauchu. Stir and cook for about 2-3 mins.
Put in the chopped tomatoes, water, vinegar, sugar and salt if needed. Let it boil to a thick gravy.
Add the fish and stir all together. Once the fish is coated with the sauce, off the heat. Lastly, put in the spring onions.
Stir just another two or three times. Its now ready to be served.
