1 package spaghetti

1 teaspoon salt

1 pound lean ground beef

1 large yellow onion, chopped

1 medium green pepper, chopped

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 tomato sauce

1 sliced mushrooms, drained

1 crushed tomatoes

1 teaspoons seasoned salt

1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon chili powder

1/4 teaspoon hot sauce

1 tablespoon brown sugar

1/4 cup Parmesan cheese


  • Prepare spaghetti according to package directions. Add salt to water.
  • Meanwhile, in large skillet over medium heat, brown ground beef with onion and green pepper in olive oil until meat is no longer pink. Drain and return to skillet.
  • Stir in tomato sauce, mushrooms, tomatoes, seasoned salt, garlic powder, chili powder, hot sauce, and brown sugar into skillet. Preheat the oven to 350 F.
  • Drain spaghetti and stir into meat mixture. Pour into a large shallow baking dish/pan, cover and place on bottom rack.
  • Bake for 30 minutes. Remove from oven and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. Let stand for 5 minutes before serving.
