New Additions to my Wardrobe

By Roses are Red (Visit website)

Dont let this lovely sky fool you...

Its still freezing, and Im getting more and more jelous of all of you on the other side of the world who are experiencing lovely summer days.

Anyways, enough complaining about the cold...

I thought you might be interested in some of the recent additions to my closet!?
Im still buying as many clothes as before I started working fulltime, the only thing is I only have 1-2 days a week off to actually wear them, how I miss wearing casual clothes to work.

Firstly this navy and white ruffle blouse.

A new maxi dress! I know, I know its winter in Australia now, but that just means all of the summer clothes are on special :)

These photos don't do this dress justice, the greeny brown colours remind me of the sea.
Lacey layers top, I think this will look nice over a plain summer or long sleeved top.

White with black spots puffed sleeves top.
Loose fit lace pattern cardigan.

And finally, probably my favourite recent purchase, yet another dress. Lavender lace dress. And finally, some new white flats, only $6!

Lately I haven't been doing much cooking, and when I do it tends to be familiar dishes I've blogged about before.

Last week I made this simple but delicious salad.

It consisted of cos lettuce, cucumber, avocado, a seed mixture (pumpkin and sunflour seeds and pine nuts, croutons, salt and pepper, then drizzled with balsamic dressing. Croutons are always a nice addition to a salad and makes it filling enough to have for dinner.

Have you made your own croutons before?

If not, its super easy!

All you need to do is cut bread (a dense bread is best) into small squares, mix with a small amount of vegetable oil, spread over an oven tray and cook until lightly browned. You can even mix in some dried herbs with the oil for herby croutons.

Until next time :)
