New Scenery

By Carrots 'N' Cake (Visit website)

I decided to try a new location for blogging this afternoon: Peet’s Coffee & Tea! :-D

I actually really like Peet’s as a blogging location– free Wi-Fi, delicious coffee aromas, modern decor. And this particular location has high ceilings and windows that let in lots of natural sunlight. It’s really nice! And you guys know that I am a diehard Starbucks fan, so me saying this means a lot! I wonder how their coffee tastes? ;-)

Lunch

After the busy day that I had at work yesterday, I decided to snap my lunch photos at home to save a little time. You may recognize the counter top!

I started with a homemade salad of mixed greens, tomato, cucumber, broccoli, cantaloup, sliced almonds, pumpkin seeds, topped with Claire’s Vermont relish. Fresh relish on salad was a delicious addition! I definitely recommend trying it!

For dessert, I enjoyed an Almond Poppy Seed muffin top from Penny’s Low-Fat Desserts. It was slightly sweet and super moist– a perfect treat.

Lunch also included a side of cantaloup, which I dug into around 10:45 this morning.

For an afternoon snack, I packed a container of Stonyfield Black Cherry yogurt. Check out the cow’s sunglasses! Or are they black cherries?

Bonus Question of the Day

Someone from Men’s Fitness magazine left a comment on my morning post asking about artificial sweeteners. What are your thoughts on them? Do you use them?
