
A savory mixture of pork chops with juicy apples makes a great stew for any weeknight dinner at home with your family.
Preparation time 15 minutes
2 medium-large granny smith apples, peeled, cored, chopped
2 medium-large sweet potatoes, peeled, chop bite size
1 (8 ounce) bag baby carrots, chop in half
1 large bunch green onions, white part only, chopped
2 pounds pork steak, remove bone, cut 1 inch pieces
3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon dried sage
1/4 teaspoon dried thyme
1 teaspoon sea salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
3/4 cup apple cider
1. In a slow cooker layer apples, sweet potatoes, carrots, and onion.
2. Mix in small bowl flour, sage, thyme, salt, pepper, add apple cider; stir until smooth. Pour over contents of slow cooker.
3. Cover and cook on low 5-6 hours until sweet potatoes and meat are tender. Serves 4-5
