Preparation

  • Step 1 - Ricotta fondant cake with only 4 ingredients
    Place the egg, ricotta, agave syrup and cornstarch in a bowl. Mix everything with a whisk until you obtain a homogeneous batter.
  • Step 2 - Ricotta fondant cake with only 4 ingredients
    Pour the batter into a lined and greased pan.
  • Step 3 - Ricotta fondant cake with only 4 ingredients
    Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (180°C) for 35 minutes.
  • Step 4 - Ricotta fondant cake with only 4 ingredients
    Remove from the oven and wait for it to cool a little before refrigerating for 1 to 2 hours. Unmold and serve chilled!

You can replace the ricotta with cream cheese or mascarpone.

You can replace the agave syrup with honey. Be careful, honey sweetens more than agave syrup, you will need to use less.

You can replace the cornstarch with wheat flour or another starch.

Is this cake gluten free?
Yes, this cake is gluten-free if it is made with cornstarch.

Can we add fruit to the batter?
You can easily add red fruits to the batter if you wish.

Can we add flavorings to the batter?
You can add the flavors of your choice such as vanilla extract or orange blossom for example. Also feel free to add cocoa powder if you want to make a chocolate version.

Refrigerate it in an airtight container and you can keep it for up to 5 days.
