Poori Potato Masiyal and Cool Refreshing drinks!!
Hello friends,
Wishing you a very Great weekend..! Here's my favourite Pooriiii.. 1. POORI AND POTATO MASIYAL/SABJI: ![]() Poori: Ingredients: 1. Wheat flour - 3 cups, 2. Maida/All purpose flour - 1 cup(Optional), 3. Baking soda - 1 pinch(Optional), 4. Salt - 1 tsp, 5. Water - for kneading. 6. Oil - as needed. How to make this? 1. Combine the flours,salt, soda, and knead well with enough water and keep aside covering with a wet cloth for 1/2 an hr. 2. Take small balls and press in to circular pooris. 3. Heat oil(1/2 level) in kadai, Put the pooris carefully and pour the oil on top will they become puffy and then drain the oil and keep aside. Yummy poori ready..! Kizhangu: Ingredients: 1. Boiled potatoes - 3 (Peel and cut in to small pieces), 2. Onion - 2 Chop lengthwise finely, 3. Tomato - 2 Finely chopped, 4. Green chillies - 3 sliced lengthwise, 5. Oil - as needed, 6. Turmeric powder - 2 tsp, 7. Curry leaves - 1 string, 8. Salt - as needed, 9. Ginger - 1/2 inch finely chopped, 10. Mustard seeds - 1 tsp, 11. Urad dal - 1 tsp, 12. Cilantro for garnish. How to make this? 1. Heat oil in kadai, add the urad dal and mustard and saute till they splutter. 2. Now add the ginger,green chillies, curry leaves and saute a min till the flavour sticks to the oil, add the onions and saute well. 3. Add the tomatoes and cook till mashy. Now add the chopped boiled potatoes, turmeric powder and salt and saute well. 4. Add enough water and adjust taste and leave to boil for 5mins. 5. Mash the potatoes slightly and when it turns rich garnish with cilantro Wow! Now relish the poori with this kizhangu..! you can't stop munching!..! Carrots - 2 peel,cut in to small pieces, 2. Honey - 3 tsp, 3. Sugar - 4 tsp, 5. Water - as needed. How to make this? Put all the ingredients in a blender and extract the juice and check taste. Add more sugar if needed. Refrigerate and serve chill..! 3. CHOCOLATE MILK SHAKE: ![]() Ingredients: 1. Fresh cream Milk - 2 cups, 2. Cocoa powder - 4 tsp, 3. Chocolate chips/bar - 1 break in to small pieces, 4. Sugar - as needed, 5. Chocolate Hazeelnut butter - 2 tsp. How to make this? 1. Heat milk and boil well till creamy, switch off the flame and add the cocoa powder, chocolate chips, sugar and let them dissolve well. 2. Convert it to a serving cup and top with hazelnut butter and serve hot/cold. Yummy refreshing drinks are ready!
