Practice what you preach, sista?.

By Emily Eats Clean (Visit website)

I need to practice what I preach!!  Just the night before last I wrote about going to the grocery store with your shopping list in hand to avoid unneccessary spending.  For unneccessary spending, see below….

I had Earth Fare on the brain all day yesterday after my Dear Emily post, so I just had to go yesterday after work .  Probably half of what I bought was un-required items.  BUT maybe there will be some new product loves soon!  :)

Rocky even checkouted out my new finds….

He’s so nosy  ;)

I really was super sore yesterday from PowerPump on Monday, but I had a long run that I missed on Sunday that I just had to do since I do have a half marathon less than 2 weeks away.  Eeek!

I set off yesterday evening to pound out 11 miles.  I always hate the first 3 miles of a run.  Yesterday it was like the first 5.  Finally, I felt like at mile 5 my legs, their soreness and fatigue, just gave into miles and it got a little simpler.  It helped to have some fuel too.

These babies were delicious!!  I felt like I was eating gummy candy…Mmm!  Since I bought these at an expo from a store that is not local, I’m already trying to figure out where I can buy more.  Thankfully, Amazon has got them for a great price!

I got 9 miles of my run in last night before it started getting darker than I like to run in, so I hit up the gym for the last 2 miles on the treadmill.  This run definitely was effected by my very sore legs, my combined 11 mile time was about 1 hour, 47 minutes.  I have half marathon times faster than that.  Oh well……at least I got the miles in on my legs.

With an 11 mile run done and computer stuff work still to do, there was no time for “fixing” dinner.  Oatmeal to the rescue.

1/2 cup oats
3/4 cup water
Sunflower butter
nectarine
drizzle agave syrup

I love my oatmeal no matter what time of day I eat it!  :)

Have a great day!

P.S.  I create my half marathon training programs on the Runner’s World webite using there Smart Coach.
