Re-Entry

Good Morning and Happy Monday!

I am having a hard time with the re-entry process, I feel like a need a few days to decompress from my trip, but it is back to the grindstone this morning! I am sure I will feel better once I get out and about in the world once again.

I began the day with my regular debate about what to have for breakfast (my favorite meal), today's choices were:

PB & Banana Cinnamon Raisin Ezekiel English Muffin
Optimum Power Cinnamon Blueberry Cereal with Fresh Blueberries
Peach Blueberry Crisp Oats

I decided to go with the Peach Blueberry Crisp Oats because there was a half a peach that needed to be eaten, but I assure you that the other choices will be consumed in the next few days.

Peach Blueberry Crisp Oats

1/2 cup of rolled oats
1 cup of water
3 slices of fresh peach
1 tsp cinnamon

Combine above ingredients and cook over medium heat for 4-5 minutes or until desired consistency.

Top with:

3 slices of fresh peach
Handful of fresh blueberries
1 tablespoon of ground flax
1 tablespoon of wheat germ
1 tablespoon sliced almonds
Drizzle of Agave Nectar

Enjoy!

Absolutely delicious bowl this morning! I love all the stone fruit that is available right now. Peaches, nectarines, plums, apricots... yum!

On a good note- the scale was in a very "happy" place today. I swear it is broken, because in my whacked out mind I think that my legs should suddenly appear long and lean, that my pooch in my stomach should be concave and that if I reach a certain number my body shape will change. No such luck, that is why it is good to just be happy and healthy because even though I liked the number on the scale this morning, I am still me! I am still 5'3, my legs are short but muscular and I still need work on my core strength. It is all good though, I feel strong and happy and motivated to keep on track.

I am going teach Baby Boot Camp this morning and then train Sonia at Hill Country Fitness and then head home to hang out with the kids. After a week without T.V., they are definitely enjoying their re-entry back into the groove of summer. They will need to write in their journals today, do a mini-workout and go to Kumon but they will be able to hang out as well.

I am going to squeeze in a workout as well, and am not sure what I am going to do yet. Probably a 30 minute run on the treadmill and then a 30 minute weight circuit.

I will check back at lunch, have a great morning!
