Summertime Eats
Good morning! Er...almost afternoon actually. It's been a slow, lazy past few days here. I've been hanging around the apartment and reading most days. I bought Twilight this weekend and haven't put it down since. I absolutely LOVE this book! I am officially obsessed. I blame my sister and my niece for that. I had no desire whatsoever to read Twilight or see the movie and had been doing a good job at ignoring the craze. But when I was back in NJ a few weeks ago my niece asked me to watch the movie with her. (She and my sister are hooked) I liked the movie so much that I decided to buy the book and now, as I said, I am obsessed. I need to get a life, I spend too much time reading, haha. Have any of you guys read the Twilight books? I've been doing a lot of cooking the past few days too. With all the food I've been cooking, you'd think there'd be a done of leftovers in my fridge at the moment. But for some reason it's all disappearing rather quickly. Bourbon Baked Beans Spicy Chorizo-Potato Hash This was the first recipe I tried from My Sweet Vegan. They didn't turn out so well though, definitely not what I was expecting anyway. The texture was a little strange. (They were kind of gummy?) Better luck with the next recipe, I guess. Fudge Swirl Ice Cream I got The Vegan Scoop for my birthday. There are so many recipes in it that I can't wait to try! This was the basic vanilla ice cream recipe. I swirled in hot fudge sauce (also in the book) and toasted walnuts at the end. It was the best homemade vegan ice cream I've made so far. (I made lots of extra hot fudge sauce to drizzle over the top. The stuff is delicious!) related searches : Summertime
