This Week's Soundtrack
For reasons unbeknownst even to myself, I've been channeling the 90's for the past few weeks. NO, for goodness sakes, NOT in FASHION. In music. I don't think I could ever go back to the puffy bangs, black leggings, Billabong tee-shirts and grungy flannels again if I could. Unless someone paid me. Anywho, I'm not sure what brought about this sudden wistful nostalgia for 90's music. Maybe it was coming across my mixed cassette tapes (don't even TRY to tell me you didn't make them), or maybe it is because I've been listening to 104.5 A LOT (it's one of the few decent stations in the Philly Area since Y100. Don't fight it. You miss Y100 too). But whatever the reason, I have come to this essential truth in my life: I love 90's music. I can't escape it. And I won't apologize. If there was one era in music that I could be stuck in for the rest of my life, it would be there. And I'd be happy. For all eternity. So these are the songs that have been bringing joy to my heart this week (one or 2 are still on here from last time)... Steph's Soundtrack 1. Holiday - Weezer 2. Lightning Crashes - Live 3. I Saw the Sign - Ace of Base 4. 1979 - Smashing Pumpkins 5. Round Here - Counting Crows 6. Plush - Stone Temple Pilots 7. Hey Jealousy - Gin Blossoms 8. Rhythm is a Dancer - Snap! (Note from Steph: don't judge me - you secretly like it too) 9. Glycerin - Bush 10. If You Go - Jon Secada 11. Um Um Um Um -Crash Test Dummies 12. Come As You Are - Nirvana What songs are on YOUR soundtrack this week? What Music Era would you love to be stuck in? Leave a comment - I'd love to hear your picks!
