Caramello bars and twelve weeks of christmas cookies

Ingredients

- 2 cup sifted all-purpose flour

- 1 teaspoon baking powder

- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda

- 1 teaspoon salt

- 2/3 cup butter

- 2 cup packed brown sugar

- 2 eggs

- 2 tablespoon vanilla extract

- 4 Caramello bars (king size)

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Measure flour. Add baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Mix well and set aside.

Step 2

Melt butter. Add firmly packed brown sugar and mix well. Add eggs and vanilla. Blend well.

Step 3

Add flour mixture, a little at a time, mixing well. Spread half of mixture in 9 x 13 inch pan.

Step 4

Break Caramello bars into scored pieces. Evenly space candy over bar mixture. Cover with remaining batter.

Step 5

Bake for 25-30 minutes. Let it cool and then cut into bars.
