MANY OF GALVESTON'S TREES WERE DESTROYED BY HURRICANE IKE. ARTISTS HAVE BEEN CREATING ART OUT OF THE DEAD WOOD. USING THE REMNANTS TO CREATE BEAUTIFUL CARVED PIECES SUCH AS THIS MERMAID.
