Weekend Wrap-Up
![]() This weekend had a little bit of everything mixed in. Fun, home improvement, lots of sun and some sadness. We started our weekend on Friday with a funeral to attend. Hubby's cousin passed away last weekend. Isn't it crazy that weddings and funerals are what pulls a family together? A good reminder of how short life can be and that family is so important! I have an extremely small extended family compared to hubby's side. Life gets in the way and it is hard to find time for those get togethers. After some reflection from Friday, I vow to not pass up those opportunities to get together. You just never know what life might bring your way. Saturday we woke to a beautiful day here in the NW. Blue skies, lots of sun and mid 60's for the temps. I took some pictures of my favorite tree and flowers outside our home. I love when this tree blooms! That evening Brad and I got to attend the Mother Son Palapalooza. This is a great night where moms and their son(s) go and play games together. I love spending time one on one time with Brad. Yes, we are matching in our XBOX/Sounders shirts. (Auntie, my sister, works for XBOX...so we are all about XBOX in our family)! It is fun to get matching outfits every year. This year I thought we would be Seahawks but no, had to do XBOX again. We went to dinner at Red Robin. He was so excited to sit in a booth made for two! After dinner we went over the the high school where the festivities were already started. We stopped off first at the picture booth where they take pictures, then we went exploring. We tossed bean bags, threw balls, played on scooters, and climbed the rock wall (Brad did, I was afraid I would fall and break my leg). They served hot fudge sundaes too! The entertaiment were jugglers who looked like they were from ZZ Top. I guess Brad had enough pictures taken at this point. A whole night of fun. He came home tired, and I came home exhausted! :) It was a wonderful date with my son and something I will never forget. Sunday was dedicated to working on the bathroom. I have to say hubby did way more than I accomplished but I was there to assist when needed. Like the toilet in the front yard? I am sure our neighbors were loving it. That is all for this weekend. Next weekend I should be able to show you some progress being done on the bathroom remodel. ![]() related searches : Weekend
