You?re a liar!
What crazy day it was! I swear, I think every kid that came into work today cried over something. And yes, one of them even screamed at me between tears…..”You’re a liar.” Ohh the joys of pediatric OT. Russell also had a kinda rough day. While I was still willing and somewhat wanting to make a homemade pizza, he was ready for eating out as a stress-reliever. Therefore, dinner: We always forget about Carrabba’s in our town…..it’s pretty yummy! There are lots of delicious sounding meals on the menu, but obviously, many of them are loaded with calories and carbs thanks to all that pasta. Looking for grilled chicken options, salad, etc is your best bet. I ended up ordering…. Chicken Gratella. And that little leaf next to the menu item means it’s a lighter menu option. While we were waiting on our food, bread and herb olive oil was delivered to our table. The bread was right out the oven…..so soft and warm and delicious! Not shortly after, my mediterranean salad arrived Dressing on the side, of course. When our food arrived to the table it looked and smelled so good. Dinner was delicious! I brought home half of the chicken and some broccoli. Since I started with dinner, I’ll continue with my day full of food in reverse. Okay?? My afternoon snack was not what was planned. I was planning popcorn with nutritional yeast…..there was no time for that. Therefore, a quick snack was required Lunch was totally random today. Not really enough food, either. romaine lettuce broccoli slaw Gardenveggie California burger homemade yogurt and avocado dressing Breakfast this morning was delicious!!! It started with 1 cup frozen mixed berries 1/2 tbsp agave nectar heated up over medium-low heat on the stove I decided this fruit compote would be the perfect topping for my most recent waffle purchase I toasted 2 of these, topped them with Naturally More peanut butter, the fruit compote, and a dallop of Stonyfield low-fat, plain yogurt. Also, french press coffee with frothed skim milk and a truvia. This breakfast was so good and much needed after another Insanity dvd. Thankfully today was a recovery dvd. But don’t let that fool you…..it was still challenging. This dvd includes some serious squats and lunges and lots of stretching. Also did 20 minutes on the bike and some additional IT band stretches following the dvd. My preworkout meal was a homemade protein bar and coffee. Rachel…are you reading?!?!? Do you like my new mug??? Hope everyone’s Friday was good! Or at least better than mine. Have I mentioned that I’m running a 5k tomorrow morning?? It is sponsored by my dad’s work so I’m kind of obligated to do the run. I haven’t run much due to getting into Insanity and Powerpump and trying to get the IT bands back to normal. Wish my unprepared butt luck!
