Ginisang bagoong (fish paste saute in tomato)

Ingredients

Number of serving: 2
2-3 tablespoon of the fish paste.

2 tablespoons vegetable oil

2 tablespoons minced garlic

1 large onion,

peeled and chopped

5 pieces ripe tomatoes

2 tablespoons chili pepper (optional).

Preparation

  • In a small pan on medium flame, heat the oil and sauté the garlic, add the onion and continue cooking until onion is translucent.
  • Add the tomatoes and continue sautéing until mushy and liquid is rendered.
  • Add the chili pepper. You can add a little amount of hot water if it's drying up.
  • When the vegetables are almost dissolved pour the bagoong, stir and continue cooking for 2 more minutes.
  • Stir once more to evenly mix. Transfer to a bowl and serve in a meal.
