- Soak kodampuli in 1 cup warm water and set aside for for 3 to 5 minutes.
- Clean fish neatly and cut into 1 cm cubes.Wash again with gambhoge water/kudampuli. Grind together ginger,garlic,shallots,grated coconut and turmeric together.
- In a clay pot,splutter mustard seeds in coconut oil,followed by curry leaves and dried chilli.
- Mix the coarsely ground coconut and green chillies with fish and kodampuli taken out of the water and add to clay pot .
- Pour 1 cup water to the fish mixture. Bring to boil rapidly. Cook for 20 minutes till all the water goes off. Take off the fire when the water dries up completely.
- Serve with rice.
