For an healthy and hearty meal, let yourself be tempted by these yummy sweet potato falafels ! Certified gluten free and vegan, they will give you all the proteins you need, with sweet and savoury flavors. The perfect recipe to put on a Buddha Bowl or to serve as an appetizer.


Number of serving: 4
4 oz chickpea flour

1 sweet potato

2 garlic cloves

1/2 lemon juice

1 tsp cumin


Chili pepper

Sesame seeds


  • Steam the sweet potato : cut it into cubes and cook it in a steamer during 15 minutes.

    When it's cooked, mash it with a fork.
  • In a bowl, mix the chickpea flour, the chopped garlic cloves and parsley, the cumin, the lemon juice, the salt and the chili pepper.

    Add the sweet potato and mix it all with your hands. The paste has to be a bit sticky. Add some water if needed.
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F.

    Form balls with the paste and roll them in sesame seeds. Put them on a baking tray with baking paper.

    Put them in the oven during 10 minutes. Then turn them and cook them 10 minutes again on the other side.
  • There you are, your gluten free and vegan sweet potato falafels are ready !
