Halva, a dense sweet desert, can be spelt many different ways and is associated with many different countries and cultures.

Ingredients

Number of serving: 5
300 g Honey

150 g Tahini

Mixture of favorite nuts.

Preparation

  • Heat the honey. Test the heat by dropping a little honey into cold water, if it forms a ball it's ready.Warm the Tahini, enough to make it workable.
  • Shell and chop nuts. The quantity is down to choice, put as many or as few as you like. Add the nuts to the honey.
  • Fold the Tahini into the honey/nut mixture.Press into a tin or plastic container.Leave to cool.
  • When cool place in the fridge over night. Cut into squares and serve.The quantities and be adjusted, you just need halve the amount of tahini to honey.
