500 g chicken (cut into bite sizes)

1 tablespoons grounded/blended ginger

1 tablespoons grounded/blended garlic

1 tablespoons dark soy sauce

1 tablespoons Chinese wine

1 tablespoons honey

1 tablespoons worcheshire sauce

2 tablespoons plain chilly powder (or as you prefer)

1 large onion (sliced into smaller pieces)

2 sprigs curry leaves

2 tablespoons oil

salt to taste


  • Marinate the chicken pieces with all the ingredients except onion and curry leaves.
  • Put back in the fridge and marinate overnight, if not at least 4-5 hours.
  • Heat oil and when oil is heated, put in the chicken pieces.
  • Once the chicken is cooked and soaked in a thick gravy, add the onions and curry leaves.
  • Continue to stir for another 4-5 minutes before removing from heat.
