*Nom Nom Snickers Cookies!
If cookie monster just HAD to choose a favorite I imagine these would be the winners! I absolutely love these. Its a mixture between Snickers candy bars, chocolate chips and slightly salty peanuts. (sometimes I even use honey roasted Mmm!) The way the candies melt and ooze in the oven are remarkable. I can not describe how delicious and ooey gooey these are. You could substitute peanut chews or another chocolate candy with nougat and peanuts but I have excess snickers around now and again. This is a delicious after school treat or absolutely wonderful with ice cream wedged in between and frozen. I like them with coffee, peanut butter or even vanilla ice cream in between. Keep on Cookin! Cat Snickers Cookies: 1/2 cup unsalted butter (soft) 1 cup dark brown sugar 1/2 cup sugar 2 eggs 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla 1/2 teaspoon salt 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder 1 3/4 cups flour 1 cup chopped snickers candy bars (I cut the fun size bars into 4 pieces) 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips or dark chocolate chunks 1/4 cup peanuts (chopped) Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a large mixing bowl cream together the butter and sugars. Mix until its lightened in color. Add your eggs one at a time, then add vanilla. In a separate bowl whisk together your salt, baking powder and flour. A little ad a time combine this mixture into the wet ingredients. Be sure not to over mix. Stir in the candy, chocolate chips and peanuts. Scoop even portions onto a cookie sheet either prepared with a silicone baking mat or parchment if available. I use a disher scoop (ice cream scoop), or a small cookie scoop. I really prefer using this to anything else. If you dont have one use two tablespoons to dollop them onto the trays. Make them as even as possible. Bake 10-12 minutes, allow to cool on the pan a moment before removing. *** I made these in jumbo sized cookies as well as regular size, I think the regular sized ones worked best. I also froze my cookies once they were portioned. I think this is what helps keep the candies from melting into blobs. It does take a few minutes extra bake but you can place them directly from the freezer into the oven its really convenient for cookies any time! related searches : Nom
