A Classic Repetition
![]() Panna cotta's one of the easiest desserts to make. I'm not very confident about plating it, so I usually serve them in little shot glasses or pretty little moulds. It's a perfect dessert to serve especially if your you've got no time in hand on the day of the event/party itself. You can be prepared the night before and kept in the refrigerator until you're ready to serve it. Ingredients: 1 1/2 cups cream 1 1/2 cups milk 1 vanilla bean 1/2 cup (115g) caster sugar 2 1/2 tsp gelatine powder 1/4 cup hot water Method: Place the hot water in a small bowl and sprinkle the powdered gelatine in. Give it a stir and set aside for 5 minutes. Spli the vanilla and scrape out the seeds. Place both the seeds and the rest of the bean into a saucepan with the cream, milk and sugar. Simmer for about 5 minutes, stirring gently. Add in the gelatine mixture and turn off flame. Stir till the gelatine completely dissolves. Strain the liquid into a small jug, and discard the vanilla bean. Pour into shot glasses/moulds and refrigerate for at least 4 hours.
