After Eight minjoni / After Eight Chocolates

Dakle, ovi minjoni u startu uop?e nisu bili zami?ljeni kao kopija poznatih After Eight ?okoladica, ali su na kraju igrom slu?aja ispali ba? to. Naime, ve? dugo smi?ljam kako iskopirati Kra?eve Ledene kocke, nekad poznatije kao Fontana. To mi je stvarno najdra?a ?okolada ikad i ve? se dugo mu?im sa izvedbom homemade verzije. Uglavnom, odlu?ila sam da mi trebaju pepermint bomboni koji ?e minjonima dati taj osvje?avaju? "ledeni" okus. Tra?ila sam i bezbojnu aromu mente, ali sve su bile zelene pa sam odustala jer ?eljela sam snije?no bijelu smjesu. Da sam tra?ila zelenu aromu, sigurno bi za kupiti bilo samo bezbojnih. Ja sam, naime, pehist ako to jo? niste znali :D Nakon svega toga, nametnulo se pitanje kako stisnuti tu "ledenu" smjesu. Mljeveni keks nije dolazio u obzir jer bi naru?io boju i strukturu, previ?e maslaca pokvarilo bi okus...Ostala mi je jo? samo ?elatina, iako sam znala da pomo?u nje ne?u dobiti ba? ?eljeni efekt, ali barem smjesa ne?e ostati teku?a.

I tako sam ja krenula s eksperimentom, kad se ispostavilo da su bomboni zeleni. ?to su se oni vi?e otapali u vrhnju, to je smjesa postajala sve zelenija. Dakle, ni?ta od moje snije?no bijele smjese :D Dakako, odmah je bilo vidljivo da moji minjoni ni pribli?no ne?e sli?iti Ledenim kockama. No, nastavila sam jer sam ipak imala neki dobar predosje?aj. Ispalo je stvarno neo?ekivano dobro i okusom vrlo vrlo sli?no After Eight ?okoladicama koje su iznutra tako?er zelenkaste i imaju okus po mentolu. I tako sam ja slu?ajno iskopirala krive ?okoladice. Ali od Ledenih kocki i dalje ne odustajem ;)


After Eight minjoni

350 ml slatkog vrhnja
150 g maslaca
75 g ?e?era
vanilin ?e?er
?li?ica arome vanilije
3 pakiranja Cedevitinih pepermint bombona (3 x 22g)
5-6 listi?a svje?e mente
50 g bijele ?okolade
10 listi?a ?elatine

Glazura:
200 g ?okolade
6 ?lica ulja


Slatko vrhnje stavite u posudu i dodajte mu sve ostale sastojke odim bijele ?okolade i ?elatine. Stavite na vatru i uz stalno mije?anje kuhajte dok se svi sastojci ne rastope. Dodajte zatim bijelu ?okoladu i kuhajte dok ona sasvim ne rastopi. Smjesu procijedite i ponovo vratite na vatru.

?elatinu namo?ite u hladnoj vodi, ocijedite i otopite u smjesi od vrhnja uz stalno mije?anje.Potom je izlijte u kalup veli?ine 20x25 cm oblo?en papirom za pe?enje ili prozirnom folijom i stavite u hladnjak na 2-3 sata dok se dobro ne stisne. Zatim smjesu izvadite iz kalupa i nare?ite na kockice ili pravokutnike ?eljene veli?ine.


Svaku kockicu umo?ite u ?okoladu otopljenu sa dodatkom ulja i stavite u hladnjak da se dobro stegne. Po ?elji ukrasite sa malo tamne i bijele ?okolade.


After Eight Chocolates

350ml heavy cream
150 g butter, diced
75g caster sugar
1 bag of vanilla flavoured sugar (10g)
1 tsp. vanilla extract
65g of mint flavoured candies (eg. Mentos)
5-6 fresh mint leaves
50g of white chocolate
10 sheets of gelatin (15g)

For the chocolate glaze:
200g dark chocolate
6 tbsp. of neutral oil

Line a 22x25cm baking pan with parchment paper or plastic wrap and set aside.

Pour the heavy cream into a saucepan and add all of the remaining ingredients except white chocolate and gelatin. Put the saucepan on a low to medium heat and stir continuously until all the ingredients have melted. Then add white chocolate and cook until it melts and the mixture is smooth. Strain through a sieve and return to heat.

In the meantime soak the gelatin in cold water for 10 minutes. Strain the softened gelatine with your hands and put it into the heavy cream mixture. Stir continuously until it melts, remove from heat and pour the mixture into the prepared pan. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 2-3 hours. Run a sharp knife down the sides of the pan and invert the hardened mixture onto your working surface. Cut it into small cubes and cover each cube with the chocolate glaze. Place chocolate covered cubes onto a tray and chill in the refrigerator until the glaze hardens. Drizzle with some melted dark or white chocolate to decorate.

Chocolate glaze:
Break the chocolate into chunksa and put it into a bowl. Add the oil and melt on a double boiler. Allow the glaze to cool for 5 minutes before using it.
