- Make the caramel : in a pot on medium heat, put the sugar and some water, and leave until caramel forms. Immediately take it out of the heat and pour it into a cake mould.
- Beat the eggs and add the coconut milk. Stir, and add the condensed milk, and mix well.
- Add the grated coconut and stir. Pour this batter into the cake mould where you have poured the caramel before.
- Put the mould into a deep dish and fill it with boiling water to make a water bath.
- Bake 45 minutes at 360°F. A knife blade should come out clean, or your flan is not baked yet.
- Cool it down properly before unmoulding it. There you are, your coconut flan is ready !
