Brazil Nut Milk, Papaya, Mango & Acai "WAKE ME UP" Smoothie
This is a power packed "WAKE ME UP" and keep me going smoothie that tastes delicious! You can now ditch the long-standing caffeine addictions, the need for sodas, coffee, or tea to start the day or keep you going throughout it. Brazil, Mexico & South America have it going on, with Brazil Nuts, Papayas, Mangos, Bananas & the Acai Berry. This smoothie not only gets you going by boosting your energy, it nourishes you, helps your complexion, burns fat, protects you from harmful agents, reduces the symptoms of existing medical conditions while guarding against others from occurring, provides fiber and is an excellent mood booster- WOW!! It doesn't get any more powerful than that. You have to try this! This was a joint creation with my daughter Morgan - Little House of Veggies and I -when we spent 5 days together last week. Papaya: helps restore the normal bacteria in the stomach. Brazil nuts: are extremely nutrient-rich and contain protein, copper, niacin, magnesium, fiber, vitamin E and selenium. Selenium is a powerful antioxidant that works to neutralize dangerous free radicals. Acai powder: will greatly improve your overall health in what seems like overnight. People find they are more restful. People feel sharper than they have in a long, long time. It greatly improves a slow metabolism for all of you trying to improve your weight. While we are taught fresh is best, it is interesting to note that studies have proven that the Acai berry retains all of its health benefits even in powder form. Make sure you buy a good powder that is dark purple. I use Acai Powder by Navitas Naturals To make the powder, the berries are freeze dried after they are picked. The dried berries are then crushed to make a powder form. Mangoes: contain phenols, this phenolic compound have powerful antioxidant and anticancer abilities. They are high in iron, pregnant women and people with anemia are advised to eat this fruit regularly. They are effective in relieving clogged pores of the skin. It is also valuable to combat acidity and poor digestion. They are a rich source of vitamin A(beta-carotene), E and Selenium which help to protect against heart disease and other ailments. Bananas: Instead of eating an apple each day for optimum health, the adage should state that a banana each day keeps the doctor away. The banana health benefits far outweigh those of the apple because it has many more vitamins and nutrients than their round counterparts. One of the banana health benefits is that they can help stop constipation. Bananas have a certain type of fiber that helps to restore and maintain regular bowel functions. They also have tryptophan-that helps the mind relax so you feel happier. Basil Leaves: An array of flavonoids exist in basil, which help to protect cells and chromosomes from damage. Studies have shown that two of these flavonoids in particular, orientin and vicenin, are useful in protecting cell structures and chromosomes from damage by radiation and oxygen, inhibits bad bacteria, is an anti-inflamatory and reduces cholestrol.
