Bread Pudding with Caramel Syrup & Chocolate Chip Cookies
![]() BREAD PUDDING Ingredients: 1 whole packet of fresh Bread or Brioche 5 whole eggs 1 litre of milk - i used one litre box of KDD full cream milk 3/4 cup of sugar or more - according to how sweet you like it 1 tablespoon of Vanilla Essence Butter room temperature Optional additions : Almonds, mixed berries, wallnuts, dried fruits, chocolate chips, pecans.. you can go funky with it :) Preparation: Pre-heat the oven for 350 degrees. Generously grease the bowl or ramekins with butter and sprinkle sugar around it and then slice the bread into what ever size u like and place them in the bowl ..leave 2 inch space on top.Beat all the 5 eggs in a bowlHeat Milk in a pan but dont bring it to boil meanwhile add the sugar alsoOnce the milk is half way heated remove it from the stove and mix the beaten eggs little by little ..we do this because we want to control the temprature of the milk and the eggs and not end up having scrambled eggs :)ok after the above step pour this mixture into the bread filled bowl and make sure after u pour the entire thing to poke it around so that the mixture goes in well.Sprinkle a little bit of sugar on top and place the bowl in a water bath and put it in the oven for 20mins. Serve it with : mixed berries, caramel sauce, ice cream ,custard sauce... what ever you like :) Serves upto 4-5 people CARAMEL SYRUP Ingredients: 1/2 cup water 1 cup sugar Preparation: Boil the above ingredients together till you see it turn amberish in colour and then take it off the stove add a little more water ..taste it coz after adding the water you might want to add a little more sugar and mix it. we add the water later coz we want a syrup not candy as caramel tends to harden very quickly.Please do not spoon it while boiling it ..leave for it to dissolve by itself. CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES Ingredients: 1 cup - 226 grams - unsalted sugar 3/4 - 150grams-cup white sugar 3/4 - 160 grams- cup brown sugar 2 eggs 1 tablespoon vanilla essence 2 1/4 cup- 295 grams- all purpose flour 1 teaspoon baking soda Loads of chocolate chips :) you can also add chopped pecans into it :) 2tablespoon of milk Preparation: Preheat the oven for 375 degrees F - 190 degrees C.Place parchment paper on the baking trayIn 2 bowls mix all the wet ingredients separate and the dry ingredients separateNow add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix it well and refrigerate it for 30minsTake a scooper and scoop the mixture on the baking try Bake it for 10-12 minsThis is what we had the day before so i thought of sharing the recipe with you all :) Usually i eye ball all the ingredients ..i dont really like measuring much ..im very impatient :) but there are a few recipes that one must measure especially when it calls for baking :) Bread pudding can be made in so many different ways ...it can be an evening snack or at breakfast or a quick midnight snack :) related searches : Bread
