Broccoli Kootu
Ingredients: Broccoli - 1/2 kg Onion - 1 no (finely chopped) Tomato - 1 no (finely chopped) Red chilly powder - 1 tsp Coriander powder - 1 tsp Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp Mustard seeds - 1/4 tsp Cumin seeds - 1/2 tsp Salt to taste Method: 1) Cut the florets of the broccoli, wash them and keep aside. 2) Heat oil in pan, add the mustard seeds and cumin seeds, after spluttering, add the onions and saute for few minutes till they turn brown and soft. 3) Add the tomatoes, chilly powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder and saute for 5 minutes. 4) Now add the broccoli, salt, little water, saute for 5 minutes, simmer and close the lid. Saute at regular intervals till the vegetable is fully cooked and all the water evaporates and it appears thick. Serve hot. related searches : Broccoli
