Carrot Beans poriyal
Nowadays I'm thinking of blogging our traditional day today recipes and that's what i'm doing till now to help out the beginners. This is one such dish ,I can say, u can just mix it with plain rice and have a blast, else with roti's or as side dish. It blends easily with any of our daily menu's and am much confident that this is one of the fav in every Vegan's home... I am in love with this veggie's and i do eat the way i've mentioned before....
Ingredients : Carrot -- Chopped thinly -- 1 cup Beans -- chopped -- 1 cup Onion --finely chopped -- 1/4 Red chilli Powder -- 1/4 tsp Coconut -- shredded -- 2 tbsp Oil -- 1 tbsp Mustard seeds -- 1/2 tsp Urad dal -- 1 tsp Curry leaves -- 1 sprig Method : Add little bit of oil in a kadai and heat it. Add the mustard seeds and wait till it splutters. Throw in the curry leaves and urad dal. Fry the urad dal till it turns light brown. I forgot to add the urad dal though.. Add the chopped Carrot and Beans and saute them in the seasoning for 5 minutes. Add a cup of water or so and combine well. Add the salt too. Cover and cook till it's fully cooked. Add the red chilly powder and scald well . Stir this mixture for few more minutes and finally add the shredded coconut.. and switch off...Njoy!!!! related searches : Carrot
