Carrot Burfi

Preparation time: 10 min Cooking time: 10 min Ingredients Grated Carrot: 1 cup Grated coconut: 1/4 cup Sugar:1.25 cup Water: 1/4 cup Cardomon powder: 1/2 teaspoon Procedure Step 1: Have a greased plate ready Step 2: In a heavy pan add 1 tsp of ghee and slightly fry the carrot for 2 min (This is to get rid of the raw smell ofcarrot) Step 3: Add cococnut, sugar and water and mix well. Step 4: Keep on stirring in medium until the mixture frothes(in Tamil it is called poothu varuvathu). At this point thesugar will start to crystalize). Usually this mixture frothes within 10 min Step 5: Switch off the flame immediately and transfer it to a greased plate Step 6: Once cooled, cut to desired shape and serve related searches : Carrot
