Crock Pot Roast & Gravy
3 lb. Rump Roast 2 Tbsp. Oil 1 Lipton Dry Onion Soup Mix 1 sm. can Cream of Mushroom 1/2 C. Water Pepper to desire Pour oil onto skillet and brown roast on all sides. Sprinkle with desired amount of pepper and place in a crock pot. With the remaining oil add water and grab a fork or whisk to stir around and grab the drippings from the browning. Pour dry onion soup mix and cream of mushroom soup into crock pot. Stir around the roast a little. Add oil and water mixture and stir a little more. Cook for 4-5 hours on high or 7-8 on low - stirring around occasionally and even turning the roast. Serve with mashed potatoes as this makes the very best gravy. So simple and so tender and yummy.
