- 1/2 kg beef chunks

- 2 tablespoons olive oil

- 4 cloves garlic

- 1 large onion

- 1 red bell pepper

- 1 red green pepper

- 1 hot chili pepper

- 2 large fresh tomatoes

- 1 cup chicken liver

- 1/2 cup water

- some grated cheese

- some green olives


Step 1

In a pan, brown the beef pieces in hot olive oil.

Step 2

Remove the beef from the pan and set aside. In the same pan, saute the garlic and onion until soft.

Step 3

Add red and green pepper, tomatoes, and chili pepper. Saute for few minutes.

Step 4

Put the beef back, add mashed liver and stock or water. Simmer for at least 1 hour or until the beef is tender.

Step 5

Add cheese and olives. Continue to simmer until the sauce thickens.

Step 6

Served on top of steamed rice.
