  • 8 skewers

Preparation

  • Step 1 - Yakitori skewers - beef and cheese
    Chop the green onion (only the green part).

    Combine the corn starch with some water (about a tablespoon).
  • Step 2 - Yakitori skewers - beef and cheese
    Pour the soy sauce, the water, the brown sugar and the rice vinegar in a pot. Add the green onion and the crushed garlic clove. Let it caramelize for about 3 to 5 minutes on high heat, stiring constantly.
  • Step 3 - Yakitori skewers - beef and cheese
    Add the corn starch and water mix and combine to thicken the sauce and sieve the sauce.
  • Step 4 - Yakitori skewers - beef and cheese
    Combine the carpaccio with the sauce (you can keep some sauce for later to pour on top of your skewers). Refrigerate for 1 hour.
  • Step 5 - Yakitori skewers - beef and cheese
    Cut the emmental cheese into 8 rectangular slices and thread the cheese onto the skewers.
  • Step 6 - Yakitori skewers - beef and cheese
    Roll the carpaccio around the cheese.
  • Step 7 - Yakitori skewers - beef and cheese
    Cook the skewers in a hot pan with oil 1 min per face. You can add some extra sauce on top.
  • Step 8 - Yakitori skewers - beef and cheese
    There you are : your yakitori skewers are ready ! Sprinkle some chives on top and eat them all !
