Day of Decadence, Pt. 2: Bloom Bake Shop

I didn't allow much time to pass between finding out about the new Bloom Bake Shop and going there to check it out.  A stop at this sweet-treatery was a convenient choice to follow up our afternoon of wine tasting at Wollersheim.



Even in the midst of a rush, owner Annemarie was extremely kind, forthcoming, interactive and willing to answer any and all questions.  The small staff was more than solicitous, making room for customers to sit, fetching them glasses of water, etc.







The prices seem ridiculously low for what you get; 3 bucks for a monstrous whoopie pie that could easily be shared by 2-4 people, depending on sweet tooth size.

They also have a great tag-line that just happens to fit perfectly in the windows of the building: "You are what you eat, so be sweet"
